Tara Bush

The Q Founder, A&B LLC Owner

Tara Bush, aka DJ T-BeatZ, is one of Colorado's most prominent and respected DJs. For 8 years she kept the dance floor at Club Q moving and grooving.

Tara was the DJ during the horrific Club Q shooting that took place on November 19, 2022. After being injured by gunfire multiple times, she spent nearly a month in the hospital recovering.

Now, she is focused on rebuilding the Colorado Springs LGBTQIA+ community. She understands how important queer spaces are and has worked tirelessly to bring this new, and only queer venue in Colorado Springs, to life.

Michael Anderson

The Q Founder, A&B LLC Owner

Michael Anderson was the only surviving bartender from the horrific shooting at Club Q, on November 19, 2022. Following the shooting, he embraced his political science passion and began advocating for commonsense gun reform issues and LGBTQIA+ equality.

He testified three weeks after the shooting to the United States Congress' House Oversight Committee, imploring the nation's LGBTQIA+ population to not live deterred or afraid, but rather live "prouder and louder than ever before." He has met with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to discuss his experience and advocate for gun reform. He has worked with many organizations, including GLAAD, the Human Rights Campaign, We Marth Fourth, Aftermath, and many others to pressure our legislators to pursue reform.

It was within the sacred walls of queer venues located in Central Florida that he initially found confidence in his identity as a gay man. Now, his purpose is to rebuild the Colorado Springs' LGBTQIA+ community and provide the next generation with a queer venue - something that doesn't currently exist due to the tragedy at Club Q and a fire at ICONS.
